–Once a pro basketball player and now mentoring struggling teens, I always bring my best game, life experience, and passion to my work!
As a child, I always loved movies and TV shows. This sparked my curiosity about what was going on behind the scenes, especially who was creating voices for my favorite cartoon characters. I had no idea that I was indirectly exploring what I would love doing decades later.
In college, I studied Broadcast Journalism on a basketball scholarship. At college, I worked as a radio personality at the school's radio station. After graduating, I pursued a 12-year career as a professional basketball player, including playing for the Harlem Globetrotters.
During the next decade, I was afforded the opportunity to play basketball and live in over 40 countries. My work brought me to countries as diverse and far-flung as Russia, Latvia, Turkey, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. Living and working overseas gave me the unique opportunity to experience other cultures and meet people from all over the globe. Throughout this journey, I learned that everyone has a story to tell.
After my basketball career concluded, I began working with teens struggling with mental health. I help teens understand why they do the things they do, by providing a healthy lens to view their challenges and growth potential. I have listened to their stories and learned about the powerful gift of resilience. A co-worker overheard me talking with the teens and said I had a nurturing presence with teens, a great voice, and should try voice acting. So the rest, as they say, is history.
